Job Objective
The Quantity Surveyor (QS) submits accurate, cost-efficient, and timely estimates and bids according to the design and layout specifications of clients, with respect to the current market costs
and building codes.
Job Responsibilities
- Review all related construction plans such as blueprint, as-built, layout, render, and others.
- Put together and utilize current market unit costs per respective trade for materials and labor.
- Maintain and update the internal database for unit costs per respective trade for materials and labor.
- Tender accurate and timely Bill of Materials/Quantity for each client.
- Search and screen contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to do pre-bids for every site tasked to accomplish.
- Tender report on cost awarded versus actual cost/budgets, risk management, and value engineering cost.
- Monitor and track the implementation of awarded contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers in conjunction with the site Project Manager and Account Manager through confirmation of progress reports and billings.
- Advise material delivery strategies and lead times with the Purchasing Department, as per project site requirements.
- Submit all related additional costs, Variation Orders (VOs), and cost revisions due to site progress.
- Perform pre-site oculars required for bid purposes and regular site visits per awarded project to ensure progress is on track.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with external and internal employees of the company.
Job Specification
- At least 3 years of experience in Quantity Surveying
- Strong time management and leadership skills
- Must be able to work under pressure and deliver output within tight deadlines
- Must be able to travel within and outside Metro Manila
