Job Description
The Project-in-Charge supports the Project Manager, Safety Officer, and Quantity Surveyor in ensuring the timely completion of the project site.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Reports primarily to the assigned project site but may also be tasked to render work from the main office.
- Works with the Building Administration and/or Engineering Department to ensure that workers and the rest of the team can deliver materials and access the site to accomplish the awarded scopes of work.
- Coordinates names, tools, materials, and equipment lists from suppliers and subcontractors to apply for the necessary work permits, gate passes, and all other building entry requirements.
- Collects delivery receipts, invoices, original receipts, and other proofs of payment and deliveries from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Submits all collected receipts and documents to the Finance Department for accurate project expense reporting and monitoring.
- Coordinates the consumable materials needed on-site for purchasing and delivery.
- Helps the Quantity Surveyor and Purchasing Team to source materials and material samples needed on-site.
- Assists in the preparation of the material board for client’s approval with samples acquired from different suppliers.
Qualifications
- College graduate.
- 1 year of work experience in project site work.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Disciplined.
- Good work ethics.
- COSH and OSH.
- Graduate of Engineering, Architecture, or Interior Design (acceptable even if waiting to take the board exam).
- Must have a fit-to-work medical certificate.
