Job Description

Responsible for doing line and grade surveying work. Closely coordinates with field supervisors for all survey references established and data operations needs during work execution. Responsible for layout, elevation references of phase of construction works from site development earth works, concrete works, and lay out of miscellaneous structures, to include but not limited to civil and structural works.

Responsibilities and Duties

1. Survey Planning and Coordination
1.1. Prepare and maintain sketches, reports, and legal descriptions.
1.2. Coordinate and verify references prior to surveys.
1.3. Analyze survey objectives and specifications.
1.4. Prepare survey proposals.

2. Field Surveying
2.1. Direct or conduct ground surveys to establish legal boundaries.
2.2. Verify accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations.
2.3. Calculate terrain characteristics such as heights, depths, and property lines.
2.4. Establish fixed points and locate sites for surveying activities.

3. Documentation and Reporting
3.1. Record survey results, including the shape, contour, and dimensions of land.
3.2. Write descriptions of property boundary surveys for site documents.
3.3. Prepare or supervise the preparation of data, charts, maps, and records.

4. Instrument Handling and Maintenance
4.1. Provide proper care of survey instruments during and after activities.
4.2. Adjust surveying instruments to maintain accuracy.

5. Team Coordination and Training
5.1. Train assistants and helpers in surveying or drafting maps.
5.2. Coordinate with the project manager, site team, and other personnel.
5.3. Discuss survey records with the site team to obtain information about property boundaries.

6. Quality Control and Compliance
6.1. Monitor installation works to ensure compliance with survey data.
6.2. Confirm and approve references in coordination with the survey consultant.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of working experience as Line and Grade Engineer or as a Surveyor
  • Knowledgeable in handling surveying instruments
