Job Description
The Design and Quality Assurance Officer is responsible for ensuring that each project site is completed with the highest level of quality possible. He/She must ensure that the subcontractors and workers assigned to the build are aware of the methodologies for each of the scopes of work required to complete the awarded scopes to Corebilt.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Points out possible quality issues by being physically present onsite.
- Raises quality issues onsite with the assigned Project Manager (PM) and works with the concerned subcontractors in rectifying the raised quality issues.
- Produces an internal punch list document mid-build and towards the end of the build that contains photos and a detailed description of every punch list item.
- Provides the Project Manager and all project team members of Corebilt with copies of the punch list files.
- Sets the deadline for punch list item closeout and coordinates this with the concerned Project Manager or Project Coordinator (PC) and suppliers and subcontractors.
- Works closely with the Project Manager or Project Coordinator and assists the concerned suppliers and subcontractors in addressing their respective punch list items.
- Takes accountability in seeing to it that punch list items are closed out for each project and that every punch list closeout is documented with photos and signed by the PM or PC assigned to the project.
- Reduces, if not completely eliminates, punch list items reported by the client.
- Comes in with a fresh set of eyes in every build in order to identify workmanship concerns that the assigned project team may have missed due to prolonged exposure working onsite.
- Regularly updates working knowledge of design trends and technologies to make valuable contributions in addressing client needs and design requests.
- Fulfills design-specific tasks (such as preparation and approval of material sample boards and swatches) in order to ensure that the client’s design requirements are met and executed on time, on-budget, and are of the highest quality.
Qualifications
- College Graduate.
- 3-5 years’ work experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, Sketchup, and AutoCAD.
- Disciplined, has good work ethic, friendly and amiable but firm especially in working.
- QA & QC Certification, COSH, and OSH.
- Licensed Engineer, Architect, or IDR is a plus, but not required.
- Must have a fit-to-work medical certificate.
- Must be willing to be assigned to various project sites/locations on workmanship concerns onsite.
